Now I know in the past I have been inclined to say some pretty rude things about Fanuc Manual guide.
Well today I’m here to make amends please Mr Fanuke, as the Americans call him, forgive me it was pure ignorance.
Right now that’s out the way. I could write a massive blog about all the shit things but no there are some great things.
I think the more you learn about something the more you seem to like it. Like all these people who slag off electric cars, funny how they have never actually bought one. I have one and I love it.
Let me make a amends today so it;s official “I Love Guide i”
Manual Guide i is great for editing, fixed forms are awesome and graphics are less crap than all the others.
I Love Guide i, Some things you might not know
You can click on a tool like in this picture T0101 then press INPUT
And it will jump to the tool file.
Now try clicking on an M code and press INPUT.
Wow an M code list comes up. I recon that’s impressive and very useful taboot.
I you have it and you don’t use it then you bloody well should. another reason is that when you click on a G code or M code down the bottom left it tell you what it is. Don’t you just love it. Oh and one more thing if you can be arsed to put all your tool descriptions in it will tell you what they are too.
