Hurco Import Tools How To Guide
Hurco Import Tools, in a previous article I did say how much I love Hurco Machines I then added a small caveat and a rant.
Anyway here is another.

Now if you know a better way of doing this please tell me “we are all in this together” as our government once said as they were about to simultaneously fuck us over and rinse our bank accounts.

I need to re-home this beetle as we are moving house.

The problem is that when you start a new program it does not have any tools. It’s easy to get your Calvin Klein thong completely twisted on this one.

Sorry but writing these articles just doesn’t pay the bills
What can happen is you can get completely mixed up over what tools are in your machine and what tools your program needs.
Hurco Import Tools to the rescue, I have found the simplest way to sort this out is to have a template program with every tool you ever use or need. You can then import the tools from this program into the one you just started.
Hurco Import Tools Here Is How You Do It

First of all press your input button on your control panel.
Then press

Then select

You will then see your hard drive with everything on it.
Pick the program from where you want to steal the tools. Hopefully you’ll never be caught.

After selecting a program press IMPORT

You will then see this screen below. Now simple untick every box except for TOOL SETUP

Press BEGIN OPERATION

You will then be asked to continue with operation

You will now have all the tools from this program ready to use, as you add tools you need to keep saving a program with them all in. I just save my program as “MY_TOOLS”
Doesn’t really matter what is in the program as long as it contains all your tools and is up to date
Hurco Import Tools, It Gets Better
If you are one of the lucky people who owns a much newer control you can actually save the tools as a .tcm file.
Good old Jack Hurco, he’s onto everything. We love you Jack
To do this press

If you don’t have this button you are stuffed, please reverse back to the top. Your machine is older than you thought.
The previous owner probably gave it Botox and breast implants, some dodgy people around.
